ENGINEERING

Optilume utilizes the latest in computer aided modelling and design for all facets of design and engineering analysis. This dramatically reduces time-to-production and ensures that the final product meets our stringent quality control mandate. A direct side effect to this approach is that all Optilume-manufactured systems are cost effective.

PROTOTYPING

In house CNC, plastics moulding, metal forming and electronics assembly machines contribute to a speedy turn around on all prototypes created by Optilume. Typical turnaround times from final design to prototype are under 30 days.

MANUFACTURING

Optilume has immediate capacity for limited production runs of up to 600-800 completed luminaries ’ per month. By the end of FY1 that number will be increased to 2000 per month and with the contractually obligated assistance of partner companies will exceed 5000 per month by the end of FY3. All partner companies conform to Optilume ’s stringent quality control measures. Long term plans for manufacturing include a complete, robotic-based manufacturing facility featuring the latest CNC machines to be constructed in the Edmonton area prior to the end of FY5.

QUALITY CONTROL

Optilume has elected to engage in all activities that allow the organization to be ISO certified by the end of FY4. This commitment to quality extends to the operational and management end of the business with the adoption of appropriate Six Sigma quality assurance protocols. Prior to this certification, all lighting systems produced by Optilume are accompanied with CSA and or UL certifications. It is the intent of Optilume to offer the industries best warranty and guaranteed upgrade path based upon the merit of the overall quality of our LED lighting systems.

WARRANTIES & GUARANTEED UPGRADE PATHS

Optilume offers 3,4 and 5 year 100% replacement warranties on certain LED lighting systems. Further to this commitment to excellence, Optilume offers Guaranteed Upgrade Paths that provide the end user security in the future of their investment. Simply, as LED technology advances, your devices will be upgradeable to the newest generations of LED technology at cost . No need to worry about what may come down the road or that your capital expenditure is obsolete within 2-3 years!
